Comfort-led low-carbon heating
Project overview
The project needed an air source heat pump serving three floors, with UFH on the lower floors and radiators at the top.
Challenge
The design had to balance comfort across the vertical layout, where core heat from the lower floors would rise through the staircase.
AquaTherma solution
AquaTherma biased UFH pipe centres towards the living spaces, using 100mm centres on the ground floor and 150mm on the first floor, with the Clivet OEM circulation pump serving all three floors.
Outcome
The homeowner reported a good balance across the floors, with COP observed well over 500% after Planet Devices remote monitoring was added.
